Mumbai Indians beat Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets; End their losing streak

MI stick to the 4th position on the points table while RR continue to get into deep trouble at 7th.

A clinical chase by the Mumbai Indians as they pick up their third win of the tournament by 7 wickets, ending their losing streak in  match 24 of IPL Season 14.

Chasing a target of 172, the MI were off to a flying start. Quinton de Kock and Rohit put up a 49-run stand for the first wicket, before Rohit departed. The opening partnership put Mumbai Indians in a very good position. Quinton de Kock played a match winning knock of 70 runs, who was aided by Krunal Pandya. Towards the end, Kieron Pollard flexed his muscles a bit and chased down the target with 9 balls to spare.

Tha Rajasthan bowlers needed to pick early wickets to win but they failed to do so. Mustafizur Rahman turned out to be expensive, and so did Tewatia.

Earlier in the innings, Mumbai won the toss and put Rajasthan to bat. The Rajasthan top order batsmen contributed well to put up a respectable total of 171 runs on board. Jasprit Bumrah was very economical with his 4-overs giving away just 15 runs while also scalping a wicket. Rahul Chahar picked up two wickets.

Mumbai Indians stick to the fourth position on the points table while the Rajasthan Royals continue to get into deep trouble at the seventh position.
