Ravindra 'Midas-touch' Jadeja. What a match. An absolute god-like performance. Deserves every superlative in the book. Single-handedly drove the RCB out of the game as CSK pick up their 4th win of the league stages by a massive 69 runs, in match 19 of the IPL Season 14.
A target of 192 to chase, the RCB got off to exactly the sort of a good start they needed. Chennai was in backfoot as the RCB had 60 odd runs on the board by the end of the powerplay. But, once the first two wickets fell, it was a complete implosion from Bangalore. Jadeja with the ball annihilated the RCB middle order picking up the great ABD and Maxwell in succession. He even ran out Dan Christian. He was aided very well by the veteran Imran Tahir with his 2 wickets as well. The RCB could only manage a total of 122 as they lost the game by 69 runs.
Earlier in the innings, some great hitting by Faf du Plessis, a half-century as he continued his good form. Gaikwad assisted him well with his 33 valuable runs. The CSK scoring rate slowed down tremendously at around the 15th over mark. It was highly doubtful if they\'d even touch the 170s. Harshal Patel, the purple cap holder of this season\'s IPL, had put in a great shift with 3 great overs. But, all hell broke loose in the last over. Ravindra Jadeja smashed 37 runs of the last over with five 6s and a 4. Chennai finished with 191 runs absolutely on top of RCB.
With this win, the CSK climb to the top of the table followed by the RCB in the second. The loss was also a hit to the good NRR the RCB had. All in all, the RCB had no answers to Sir Ravindra Jadeja.
