Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, Assam on Friday, June 4, received another shipment of oxygen concentrators from its National branch, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, India.
Satyen Sarma, President - Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation (Assam, Arunachal Pradesh & Meghalaya) in Guwahati, obtained the oxygen concentrators. He is also involved in the management of the COVID19 relief mission done by the organisation in the aforementioned states.
“The oxygen concentrators have been handed over to the Sri Sathya Sai Alumni of Assam who are already providing COVID-19 services in Kamrup Metro & Rural such as free lunch for COVID patients, facilitating hospitals beds, arrangement of emergency medicines etc. These oxygen concentrators will further strengthen their movement to provide free service to COVID affected people. Also, few oxygen concentrators are being sent to Dibrugarh and Barak Valley for the same purpose. The same has been received by Rajib Borgohain (Vice President, SSSSO Assam) and District President Sanjay Paul Choudhury respectively.“ announced Satyen Sarma.
Dr Neil Bardoloi, Secretary of SSS Alumni of Assam conveyed thanks and mentioned how grateful they are to the SSSS Organisation for contributing additional oxygen concentrators at such a crucial moment. Dr Bardoloi also explained how more people need oxygen at home even after testing negative and getting discharged from the hospital. "We are providing it free of cost for usage to needy patients on a returnable basis", said Dr Neil.
Satyen Sarma completed his statement by saying “So far many needy patients have benefited from this service. This is mainly for patients requiring oxygen but is unable to arrange oxygen cylinders at their homes. “
